This is my WWW repository. It used to be my blogging platform but you can read this to understand why I changed things up and what it means for any content that you might find here today.

I use this repository in tandem with my Meta Threads account. On Threads I post spuriously and impulsively as one would on any microblogging platform (so yeah, feel free to follow), but cite links back to this website when I produce digital exhibits that are best showcased on one.

The battle to settle a commercial social media platform to work in some kind of tandem with my website here has been an epic one. If you've been following this specific web page for the past six months you've seen this battle raging in the form of me having to edit it between my declaration of choice. Before this, I opted for BlueSky for example.

I finally settled on Threads because while both BlueSky and Threads are each committed to data openness, with the latter automatically linking to the fediverse, Threads also has a more developed platform. And, while I actually find it kind of diluting to have so many broadcast choices for my missives, Threads also offers easy cross posting channels between Facebook and Instagram whenever that actually is needed.

If all of this explanation strikes you as insufferably self-important of me, why, I agree that it is. Just deal. I'm trying to live a digital publishing model of the free and open web so that others might reflect over and do the same for themselves. You as a normie may not get it at first.

While you can keep up with me using the Meta channels I've mentioned above you can also just stick with this "repository bloggish" site. If so:

The theme of this repository Explaining Myself is just that. I have forever been a non-affiliating and happily self-isolating personality that people find relating to oddly difficult, even to the point of avoiding. Here and online in general, speaking to the world at large versus interpersonally, is my way of closing that gap.
